The following RAM is (by default) incompatable with Gigabyte Motherboard
GA-7DPXDW-P;
"Kingston KVR266X72RC25/512" 'Infineon HYB25D256400AT-7'
The memory will cause "STOP: c000021a" system error on initial installation
reboot of system, or cause installation to hang at initial "Starting
Windows" setup screen.

Note: "Kingston" and "Legend" are (generic) Vender (of DDR RAM).
"Infineon" is the Chips Vender; the alpanumerics after "Infineon"
is Chip Number/Identifier.

The following RAM is compatable;
"Legend L6472T35-RR1IDC5A" 'Infineon HYB25D256800AT-7"

If setting up a new system, check out the information at:

PS. 'Andrew' was inquiring on difference between GA-7DPXDW+ (and)
GA-7DPXDW-P; there is no difference, both relate to same board.

Help!!
I am mystified as to why GA-7DPXDW-P does not operate correctly with the
'Infineon HYB25D256400AT-7' (see my initial post below).
I have had a look at the datasheet (Infineon) and they do not seem to
differentiate between the two different chips; i.e. they list both chips
together on same datasheet; e.g. HYB25D256400/800T/AT.
(I have 3x512Mb (incompatable) PC2100 RAM i.e. HYB25D256400AT-7).
(I could try writing to Gigabyte, except I know I would not get an answer on
their website).

Does anyone know what (ram) settings I could apply in BIOS to get both chips
to work?
The chips complete POST aok; problems start after, with "STOP: c000021a"
errors.
