Ricoh cd/rw recognise problem

Using windows xp sp2. ive noticed since i installed the sp2 that my Ricoh
burner (MP7320A) is not always listed as being detected by the sysytem, and
when it isnt detected i cannot even open the burner. Not sure what the
problem is, would the sp2 be conflicting with the burner or should the driver
be updated or is there a registry problem or something else.
Any help at all would be much appreciated thanks
