just a little info,
I just purchased a 4155.
I do inhome computer service and anyone that has a wireless network, or
while im at home, i can watch live TV on my pocket PC and change the
channels.

some info about this:

i use http://www.snapstream.com beyond tv 3 to record shows. it also has a
feature to let you stream live tv over lan or internet, as well as shows
recorded in WMV format. This can save space on your memory cards if you
have internet connection. In order to stream, the capture card you use has
to be a software based capture card like ATI All in wonder's.

Its a wonderfull program.

in order to change channels from the internet you have to have a cable
connecting from your desktop to your cable/satelite box, unless you use
basic cable.
all the info is on the message boards for setting this stuff up at
snapstreams website.

they give you a 21 day free trial.

also, this takes some knowledge to get working properly, but when it does,
man it is GREAT

i was just sharing some info incase anyone ever wanted to know......

only watch and not record/administer showsqueeze etc....

I've also been using BTV, although there is one trick to get to the record page, correctly on a PPC. Create a shortcut that goes directly to the record page and don't try to access it through the normal navigation. It's nice to be able to schedule a recording using the PPC.

Why go through all that to schedule a recording. Just use the
mobile.snapstream.net page and use the epg to schedule the show. Your BTV
box contacts the epg servers every 5 minutes for updates. I've been using
BTV for a few years now and it's just great. The upcoming version looks to
have some great features as well.

the last i heard mobile.snapstream.net didnt support us in the UK. ill check
to see if things have changed since then.

also, i dont want to have to rely on the internet to adjust settings on a
box im locally connected to.

any idea when the next version is out?
