We have several Lexmark Laser Printers that we need to download
overlays to. We bought flash memory and went through the instructions
on downloading the overlay to flash.
Then the instructions say to check it is stored in flash to print
"print directories from the utilitites/test menu" When I do that the
overlay is not listed. But in the printer properties it shows up that
it has been downloaded to somewhere on the printer.
I feel that it's getting downloaded to the printer RAM because every
so often the overlay will stop working and I will have to reload it.
So, several questions. How do I make sure it goes to Flash? Can I
FTP the file to flash? (We use TCP/IP printing). Is there a way to
view the contents of the printer's RAM so I can see if that is where
the overlay is getting loaded to?
