Hello!
I have a question for you (I posted to another community and... nothing):
How can I do a flash to my BIOS (notebook IBM Thinkpad 600 model 2645/450) because I CAN'T BOOT FROM FLOPPY?
The real problem is that the BIOS is faulty (I think) because when I open it I get 2 errors (00161 and 00163 whitch are caused by discharged battery, I red in a book) in a window along with "OK" and "CANCEL".If I click "OK" or "Cancel" the system freez before it tryes to BOOT(from floppy or hdd).I already replaced the 3 V battery and nothing. Please help me resolve this "payne".
Thank you!
Wishing you all the best CERO!

How long did you leave the three volt battery out?

A few minutes and I even shortcut-it (+ and -).I open it without battery and I got 3 errors 00161, 00163 and 00192 and sometimes I got 00173 insted of 00163.
Q : Should I leave the battery out longer?

That should have cleared it. Have you emailed IBM's customer support. I don't know what else to suggest.
