How can i remove safely my xternal hdsk with windows 8?

help me! i'm using windows 8.... when i want to remove xtrnal hdisk from my comptr, there's no "safely remove hardware"

Desktop (Tile) -> Task Bar -> Safe Remove (same as W7).

are you using a USB 1.0/1.1 device? if it is anything 2.0 and up you normally should not have to select the safely remove hardware.
