Greetings,

For the first time since this board went into service last January a BSOD
came up near the end of a Quicken 2005 install.. This was a real surprise as
this board and XP Home have been nearly flawless performers..

The error screen announced "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Then STOP: 0x0000D1( stop details ).

Microsoft techs worked with me with great patience and found no driver
problems. Nor did they see any other problems. Their conclusion was the
quicken software was some how flawed..

Quicken sent me through their standard drill with no success. They
indicated that Windows XP was not properly install or the computer has a
problem.

We did several web searches and tried any recommended fixes to no avail.

So, this is appeal to any one who has had a 0xd1 stop to advise a possible
fix.

Will appreciate any ideas or suggestions,

This particular type of problem can be very difficult to 'nail
down'...

Some questions:

Did this problem happen ONLY ONCE? (Or is it repeatable?)

Did/does it happen consistantly/related to the installation of Quicken
2005?

You *might* consider trying a BIOS upgrade, if you haven't already.

This particulat board is up to F11 now (IF I'm guessing the Rev.
right).

My bottom line advice/what I generally do (with this type of error):

They can be so hard to nail down that unless it happens more than once
and/or it prevents me from getting something specific (that I really
want/need) to work, I just ignore it.

Things DO go 'Bump In The Night' (especially) with computers and often
(ref. criteria above) they're not worth trying to resolve.

Did you ultimately get Quicken 2005 to successfully install?

Got it installed.
Had to Roll back to the Silicom Systems driver 1.0.0.49.
The problem was the driver 1.0.0.49.
