Hi all, I currently have a GA-6BXD (unfortunately I dont have the revision
number on hand, but will supply asap) and I'm trying to get 2 SL5QV Pentium
3 1gig Coppermines to work on it. I have found that the following slotkets
are the only ones capable:
Asus S370-DL
Abit Slotket III
MSI 6905 rev 2.0
I have a matching pair of MSI 6905 rev 2.3's and a pair of no-brand slotkets
that apparently also support both dual cpu and coppermine.
Now I can get one cpu to work with one of the no-brand slotkets, in either
slot, and I have been running this for quite a while now with absolutely no
problems. The problem is whenever I try and add the second cpu with no-brand
slotket I get nothing, no screen, no beeps, dead.
Also whenever I try and use one cpu with one of the MSI slotkets I also get
nothing, no matter how I configure the slotket.
Is there something I am missing when trying to get this to work? I
understand that the motherboard and CPU's are capable of running in a dual
configuration but I cannot make it work!

I own the same motherboard as you. Sometimes the same thing happens
when I install a CPU on the motherboard. However, it works after
re-plugging the CPU for several times. So I think you problem might be
due to bad contact.
As currently the PC is running at 350mhz, I want to upgrade it to
above 800mhz. According to the manual, the maximum speed the
motherboard supports is 550mhz (5.5 x 100). How do you config the
jumper to use faster CPU than 550mhz?
