k8NNXP startup problems

hi, Ive got a K8NNXP board which will not boot. Attached is AGP, RAM, CPU,
and HD. All attached fans spin for a second, then stop and theres no more
action. The Power LED is still active, however. Sometimes theres a short
single beep, also - which should be a 'refresh error' - which I dont know
the meaning of. Can anyone shed some light?
Ive reset BIOS, changed PSU's, removed all peripherals to the board with
only the PSU active - same short, single beep. No idea whats going on. I
will remove the board and test for shorts later on if all else fails.
