Dx 9 with Windows 7

im using windows 7 that came along with DX 11 and I installed the game "devil may cry 4" in my pc , but this game is for Dx 9 or 10, so when i try to install dx9 or 10, my computer screen just went black and nothing happen that means im not able to install dx9 or 10. I would be very happy if anyone can help me with this problem.

Are you sure that you need to install Dx 9? Normally these things are backward compatible so that Dx 11 will work for a game requiring Dx 9 (in other words the real requirement is Dx 9 or greater).

No..... for some games they give error that one of Dx9 file is required.... simply install Dx9 c and enjoy the game......

when i play(already install in xp) NFs MW in Win 7 it gives me that error when starting the game...
but if u install the game it will automatically install DX 9 along with the setup.....

Install the Dx9 that is included with the game itself, not the whole package from MS because every game usually shipped with its own Dx* *.dll files.
and do not attempt to add the missing files manually because that usually won't work!
