Dunno about HL2 to be honest. Why is Gabe Newell so anti Nvidia?! Think I´ll pass on HL2 for now because I don´t intend to buy a game I can´t run anyway...

Is it a bad thing if there is smoke coming out of my case?

Why is it that most other games are ANTI ATI? Look at there splash screens, Best played with Nvidia.

Those games play fine,even better with an ATI card. They are just promoting certain manufacturers.

Any news yet about a releasedate? I have this 1Gb chunk of locked data on my machine (claiming it's HL2 ) and I haven't even heard anything about the code having gone gold yet. Are they going to upgrade my preload a couple of times or what?

IIRC, I saw something that said it was set to be released Sept. 30, and the downloaded via Steam games would be unlocked that day.

I've also got them. I'm wondering though whether there's going to be more. I'm getting kind of bored playing CSS with the same dust map each time, and I'm really getting excited about HL2 gameplay (what i've seen of it in the movies they've released it really looks awesome).
