Seems to fail about every 10 minutes in winXP Corp SP2. (32 & 64bit
windows).

Any one else seen this?

And

Gigaraid IT8212.
I tried this with 2 identical 80G Seagate 7200rpm drives.

Individually, each drive manages 55MB/s to 40MB/s with HD Tach 2.7.
Put the drives into Raid 0 in bios, default settings, and HD Tach reports
25MB/s to 12MB/s.
Master/slave on the same cable or master/master on the two cables makes no
difference.
Tried Raid 0 in XP disk management with same results.
File copy from Seagate 200G Slave IDE0 (60MB/s-55MB/s) - 1GB file at 40+MB/s
onto the individual drives and 12MB/s on raid.

Tried Raid 0 with PCI Raid card using SI0680 card with same results.
Thought it was a limit of the PCI bus....

Note HD Tach accesses the drive in raw mode. Format & fdisk not required.
But the file copy was times with the windows performance module.

Stumped......
