Hi,

I am using the F17 bios under XP Home...

Whenever I try to change any BIOS setting and save, re-boot, the system
hangs before the memory check...

Only way out is to flip the CMOS battery out and back-in - then I'm back to
square-one...

Tried replacing the CMOS battery and re-flashing the F17 bios...

Any Ideas?

TIA

Try the backup BIOS chip. Hit F8, select the backup BIOS, save the setting.
