I'm trying to setup a SATA drive on this mobo. I'm using Windows 2000
Pro. I made a disk with the si3112 info and used that with the F6
option. It seems to install, but when the computer reboots it doesn't
start off the SATA drive. If I go throu the setup procedure again it
shows that the partition was setup on the drive.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm not sure of the setup of the bios to
utilize this feature.

IIRC, you need to set the first boot device in the BIOS to SCSI.

I'm booting the same board from a SATA drive with no problems, but am too
lazy to reboot and go into the BIOS to find out what I'm set too....

I just checked. I'm set to boot HDD-1 then floppy. In the bios I disabled
onboard h/w raid, enabled onboard h/w serial ATA and set serial ATA to Base.
I think the other choice was raid. I looked in disk management and saw that
the disk with the OS was disk 1 so I picked that. At first I had it set to
HDD-0. Works fine so far. (about a month)
