Is it possible to purchase a new fan for the above. Mine was making a lot of
noise a few weeks ago so I took it off and peeled back the sticker on the
top and put a little oil onto the bearing but it's started making a noise
again. Not too bothered but a UK supplier would be ideal. Motherboard is a
GA-7VAXP Ultra

Had that problem not too long ago. When you peel back that sticker it
exposes a little plastic split-ring keeper that looks like a washer. At
first I could not see the split in the washer and just tried to pry it
off. If you will very carefully use a couple of jeweler's screwdrivers
to spread that keeper apart you can remove the fan. I used some light
grease on my fan shaft instead of light oil. Light oil evaporates to
quickly. Put it back together carefully and it should last for quite a
time.

Try a couple drops of automatic transmission fluid works much better than
standard oil.

The Northbridge fan on my 8KNXP started to make a lot of noise so I replaced
with one of these: http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_2841.html Works
like a charm.

Cheers.
