Are you a Trekkie?
Computer geeks tend to love the high-tech world of Star Trek! Be honest, are you Trekkie? Do you watch Star Trek, W]whether it be the original Star Trek, Star Trek: TNG, Star Trek DS9, or Star Trek Voyager? I'll admit that I've seen every episode of all the Star Treks. I AM A TREKKIE! SPEAK OUT YOUR LOVE FOR STAR TREK IN HERE!

There's quite a few good startrek episodes out there. As for the movies, 2 and 6 are the only two I like. Christopher Lloyd rules, beyond everything, but that just wasn't enough to put 3 on the list. I blanked out the section of my memory that contains any references to 5.

Along the whole space motif thing, there's 3 really good Star Wars movies out there, too.

2 is Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kwan and 6 is Star Trek: Generations. The thing is, the Star Trek saga is a lot older than Star Wars. With each passing series, the legacy continues!

i enjoy watch star trek from time to time, but not because it is star trek, but because the writing is pretty good. as for star wars i am a huge fan of star wars. they did a comparison once in the paper over the amount of money the star trek films had made as opposed to the amount of money the star wars films had made, needless to say 4 star wars movies made more money than 9? star trek movies. star trek 6 was not generations but the one about the klingons and kirk going to jail or something. i am not a trekkie, not by a long shot but i do enjoy watching it from time to time. overall i fell star wars is a much better storyline. the world that has evolved around what george lucas created is amazing. i love spending time reading thru the time line chronology on jedi.net i think. it likes elvis or the beatles, you can like them both but not equally

"6 is Star Trek: Generations"

Negatory, good buddy. The Undiscovered Country?

I thought Captain Von Trapp was a good pick for the movie, as well as David Warner.

The U.S.S. Defiant was a ploy in DS9 to make the show more interesting. The Dominion War also an attempt to entice people to watch DS9. I admit DS9 is somewhat boring compared to Voyager, TNG, or even the original. The U.S.S. Defiant was a way to bridge the gap between the previous TNG and DS9.

So it's Deep Space 9, but with space battles? Character development is nice, but too much is not a good thing.

I might give it a check-out, though......

Captains Log stardate 2987395627. The klingons were held at by just by my good looks. Beamed down to planet zuhgron. Took Mr Spock with me and a third guy just incase we needed to leave him as bait and escape.

It was a friendly planet. Pulled every babe in sight. Slept with a woman every hour. Thats 50 women. Spock attracted none. Thats Kirk 50 - Spock 0.

about this part:

It's unreal, how can Kirk attract every single girl he meets? I mean come on!

Anyway, I can't wait 'til the new Enterprise series coming in a couple of weeks.

FatBurger, regarding your sig, I would like to add that not everyone that died lived in America. There were tourists too!

I know, the halts should've been there. But it was like that though. There were all these alien girls wearing very little close everywhere and all of them had a thing for kirk. At least thats how I remeber it. And it was always the klingons. When the enterprise got hit, everyone just shook their body to show the whole place was shaking.

It wasn't just kirks speech that was halted, it was the movement too. It was like sudden and dramatic.

Of course the actual people who died are more important than your sig, but I just wanted to let people know that a lot of Canadians died too! A lot of people from other countries also died!

And what about Cyrix, for your sig? They're a CPU too! Or what about nVidia? They could probably make a working CPU. And don't forget Ati and Matrox. And what about...

Who cares? Yes, of course people from other countries died, but I'm not saying "Screw you all!", this was an attack ON AMERICA, remember?

A CPU stands for "CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT". nVidia, ATI and Matrox make processors but they're graphics processors, not CPUs. Cyrix sucks too much to be considered a CPU. hehe. I'm just like the Borg; I don't assimilate inferior technologies.

But just because they're not from America- I mean inferior, doesn't mean that they didn't die- I mean deserve to be in your sig.

Name one thing (one technology) that is unique to the Cyrix that makes it stand out in any way? NOTHING!! The Cyrix is the worst possible chip. The FPU is light years behind, it has a limited amount of cache, it's integer performance (ALU) is barely acceptable. There is nothing to like about the Cyrix especially since today's Celerons and Durons cost about the same and significantly outperform it.

You are a hypocrite, you critize fatburger for saying they died only because the lived in america, yet he left out some other nationalities. You are saying cyrix shouldn't even be considered part of the super chip because it sucks, well you are singling out cyrix. See the parallels here.

No, I don't. We are all humans, therefore we all deserve equal treatment. A piece of technology is not alive and therefore does not have any "rights". That's not like saying Canada + U.S. = the ultimate nation because that's just not true. We are all equals because we share 99.9% of the same DNA. The things that make humans different from other humans are too insignificant to be even considered. We are all of equal "technology", if you will. Saying Canada + U.S. = the ultimate nation is like saying a Pentium 4 1.4GHz + Pentium 4 1.5GHz = the ultimate PC processor when they both use the same technology.

Before you say anything, excuse my stupid analogy.

Haha! I get it! I didn't notice it before. Are you trying to teach me a lesson or something? lol. I understand where you're going but as I just said, a piece of technology does not have "rights" until they build a sentient artifical lifeform like Data.

but I think you'll find that if you try to run your USA 1.4 in an SMP configuration with your Canadian 1.5 the two will see major differences of opinion and not funcion in the same data path... No point really to this, but it struck me as a not unreasonable extension of your model.
