I've seen a really good price on some DDR400 1GB RAM modules, being sold in
a matched pair. Anyone know if the GA-7N400Pro2 Rev1 can handle 1GB
modules?
Right now I've got 2x512MB (!GB total) in, a pair of Kingston HyperX
(DDR333), and would like to both get more RAM, as well as run my RAM at the
same speed as the CPU (Barton core XP3200+)
Also, has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with Geil RAM?
Thanks.

I have the rev 2 version of that board and it does not support 1Gb DDR
(512Mb max).

Interesting. I just checked my manual, and it does state that the
board should support 1GB modules. Ditto for the Rev2 manual. I also
checked against the online manual, just to make sure, and it should
support 1GB modules.

Read carefully. It supports 1Gb "unbuffered DRAM". The table on page
17 titled "Support Unbuffered DDR DIMM Sizes type:" shows that it
supports only DDR modules up to 512Mb.
