When I boot up besides taking forever I get a error msg saying msdtcw caused an invalid page fault yada yada. What the heck is this I have found it in windows system file is it safe to delete this thing or what?

You're certainly not the only person to have problems with this.

I think it is safe to remove but if you want more info, do a search for 'msdtcw' at www.google.com

The first few results should lead you to any more info you need.

Thanks alot man! I think that will be a new mantra for my life when in doubt wipe it out. If it's broke I cant really make it broker

If you go to MSconfig through the system tools, you can select the start-up tab and see what programs load at start-up. With the exception of explorer and systray, you can check the boxes (effectively reming out these files) and see what happens on re-boot. Try them one at a time. some of them can be disabled safely.
