I am in the process of putting my new computer together and am trying
to install Windows XP 64bit edition. I am running into problems when
trying to set up Raid Striping in my 2 SATA HD's. I enter the RAID
setup utility and it appears as though my drives are seen and the array
is set up fine, however, when I go to install windows and choose F6 to
install the v.4.34a drivers, they appear to load, but when windows goes
to install it shows 2 drives and wants me to format them. Is this
correct?

Nevermind, I resolved the issue myself.

What was the solution? It might help others (or myself when I go to do the
same thing next week) :)

He's talking about a Raid setup though, not a single hard drive, and for
Raid, you need drivers.

thanks you the suggestions.
I have tried not to install the nvriad driver but windows does not see it as a raid. It just see's 2 HDD's

What odd about it is that it will complete setup, just not load into windows.
for fun I tried the windows 2000 driver but came to the same result.

I wonder if it is a SP3 issue as all the cd's I have to use have sp3 integrated into them
