ga-k8n ultra-9 bios question

board: Gigabyte ga-k8n ultra-9
processor: AMD 4000+ 939 San Diego
RAM: 1.0 GB OcZ
HSF: Zalman CNPS 7000B alcu
Video: nVidia GeForce 6800 extreme PCI-Ex
HD: WD2500JD sata 250 GB on nvidia 1

I updated the bios from F3->F6, however Sandra04 and CPUZ still see the bios
as F3. Furthermore whenever I bootup, I get
DMI Pool Data "Update Success"

I get the same message everytime, whether I've changed a setting or not.
This seems to be the wrong behavior. Is it true that my bios is no longer
cached?

A mitsumi FA401 USB 7-in-1 drive will not work right with this board,
although it works with an Aopen build (ax4c max II).

Except for the above trouble, the system works fine.

Overclocking

I've tried only the simplest tweaks. I leave the multiplier at default (=12)
and raise the default frequency of 200 to between 212-218. At 218 I got blue
screens in WinXP.

I'm very happy with the overall speed and the running temperatures. After
running HL2 it never goes above 44C. The idle temp is below 35C and we are
having the warmest days of the year lately. I don't even run AC in this
room, but I have windows open with fans running.
