Hello there,
I build up a spare computer from parts laying around and have a question
about plugging in the GIGABYTE 8IDX motherboard to the chasis cables.

Below the link to the manual screenshot of so called F_PANEL from this MoBo:
http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/5050/fpanel1mf.png

I have the following cables from the chasis:
POWER SW - 2 pin
SPEAKER - 4 pin
H.D.D LED - 2 pin
POWER LED+ - 1pin
POWER LED- - 1pin
RESET SW - 2 pin

On the 2 and 4 pin cables, one pin is always marked with a triangle symbol,
does it have any meaning of in which way to plug it in? Is it the symbol of
+ or something?

All is about how should i plug the cables to the F_PANEL in the appopriate
way.
I will appreciate any simple drawing or schema, or just a good ans simple
explanation, where to plug the cables, with details according to the + and -
signs etc.

I never did it before, that is why i aks for it. I just dont wanna mess
something up or burn the mobo :)

PS: will this card:
http://www.pwstation.com/VA233.htm

Work on that MoBo?
In the manual u can find:
"Do not use AGP 2X card (3.3V) in this motherboard. It will burn and damage
the motherboard due to Intel 845 chipset can't support AGP 2X(3.3V)."

I think the card is agp2x/4x and the same is mobo, so it should work ok
right?

Best regards
Byru

If your cables/connectors are same as mine, the common factor is all have a
white lead - this is NEGATIVE ( - ).
However, switches and LED's are not polar-sensitive, so will work whichever
way round the cable is connected.
Speaker (4 connections) may be sensitive to polarity, but the board diagram
tells you which pin is negative.
