At the weekend, had lights flashing on Epson Photo Colour 830 (think that's
the right model No).
Error light should flash slowly for black cartridge and quickly for colour.
Error light is initially flashing slowly, so remove black cartridge to find
still plenty of ink!
Replace black cartridge, but now the error light remains on, indicating
(according to manual) that there is a cartridge that is installed
incorrectly.
Now I know that the printer works out for itself whether there is ink left
or not, so it could believe a cartridge is empty when it isn't. But I don't
understand why it is reporting a bad install.
Both cartridges have been removed, contacts cleaned and replaced, but the
error is the same "badly installed cartridge".
