I would definitely go see it. It made me think.... hard, and its been a while since a movie has forced me to break it all down. Im not going to give anything away but in Alien, Aliens, *Aliens 3 Omitted*, and resurrection didn't really need motivation or complex ideas. You had a monster(s) and you had people surviving, this movie expands on it but its very cryptic and the explanations are either open or expanded on in the subtext of the character interactions..... Oh god i sound insane.
The editing was hands down a problem, but I don't want to excuse it by saying the original Blade Runner was a mess and it was only after the Directors cut did it become what it was meant to be.
I wouldn't say it was a failure as much as the actual execution left something to be desired. Lots of inconsistencies, but visually freaking awesome.
