If it woRked on 32bit, then it will probably work on 64bit. Btw, your processor is bottlenecking your system. I would recommend upgrading to a quad core later on. You won't be able to run newer games very well without a quad core processor. You MAY be able to get away with it at lowest settings.

Almost every game works on windows 7 unless the box / or website specifically says that it doesn't support win7.

not true... Some older games will not run on 64bit at all... They are written on 32bit only... Note that im talking about before 2004...

I've managed to get some 1990's era stuff working on Windows 7 x64. It takes some tweaking, but can be done.

Yes you can run those games in Win 7 64-bit just fine. A few odd games will have trouble installing, like Gothic 4 and often due to the 64-bit os using the ProgramFiles(x86) folder, but if they worked in vista or win 7 32-bit you can usually make them work in win 7 64-bit. That's really just poor testing on the part of the publisher though.

Older games that use certain kinds of DRM, such as older SecureROM and Star Force older than 4.0, may not run and may cause problems if you manage to install them. Some games don't support Vista or Win 7 at all because they use depreciated APIs or rely on bugs or odd system behavior. I haven't really tried too many older games with my current 64-bit install though.

Basically if you want to play a game made in the last 4 years you should be fine. Older than that and it's hit or miss ^_^
