Hiya,
I have a K7T Turbo LE (just red pcb) running bios version 3.6
and an XP2400, no problems.
'Our' board only officially supports up to an XP1800 Palamino with the
newer procs supported on the K7T Turbo 2.
I have run a 1.4 Tbird XP1800 XP2400 XP2500Barton all just plug and play (to
borrow on marketing hype)
Best value for your money, considering ease of installation is an XP2400.
Just remember to clear bios (flash update if necessary to 3.6), set on board
jumper to 133fsb and watch temps.
By the by, I do hope you running PC133 Sdram (for simplicity's sake)
I've made this post short and sweet and probably left out many pertinent
details.
If you need more info, just holler.

HTH

Garry.

Hi Garry
I really appreciate your advice and am excited by the prospect of
having a 2.4 chip in my machine but i feel that some of the things i
need to do may be outside my limited knowledge of computers, i wouldnt
know how to upgrade my bios and i know i would mess up the
configuration, do you know of any guides available for this type of
upgrading for complete dummies like myself, if not never mind. i am
very grateful anyway at least i know now that i can turn my PC into a
decent machine even if i may not be able to do it myself. All the best

Dominic
