K7N2 ILSR & 3rd IDE Slot

Does anybody know or how to make a use of the 3rd IDE Slot of the
above motherboard?
I understand we can't plug in to any ATAPI Device but are we able to
use a HDD on this slot if so how and where to check it out i.e on the
BIOS.
I need to use additional Hard Disk Drives PATA (UDMA)on my new K7N2
ILSR Motherboard and if I use PCI IDE Raid Controller (Normal Mode) it
won't Boot but it does recognise the drives.
Has anyone experienced this problem or know how to add additional PATA
Drives?

OK.. wow..Where to start. I am sitting at work and dont have the manual
here but as I remember on that bios and board you have to disable the
SATA driver for either promise OR VIA to use one or the other. Guessing:
disable VIA and it should find the promise driver to use the IDE-style
extra connector on the board.
