My ADSL modem recently fried itself, so I'm back to dialup for the time
being. To add insult to injury, now it looks like my modem is crashing XP.
It doesn't happen regularly, but it happens enough that it's starting to
look like a pattern.

The modem is a generic 56kbps model with a Rockwell/Conexant HCF chipset.
The name of the driver that comes up in the BSOD is winacusb.sys, date
stamp 14 Feb 2002. Is there an updated version of this file anywhere?
Anything else I can do to stop the crashes (besides getting my ADSL back)?

Ta.
