XP Hardware Wizard Keeps Finding My Hard Drives

I've recently tried to add a new Maxtor 250GB ATA HD as a primary slave.
Since that time, and after some not-so-thoughful changes, every time I
boot/reboot WinXP Home runs the Hardware Setup Wizard for both my hard drives
wanting to install a driver for them. When I run the Wizard, it tells me it
cannot find the necessary software/file to install. I cancel it and look in
the Device Mgr. It lists the drivers disk.sys, drvmcdb.sys, and PartMgr.sys
under the Drivers Tab for both drives. I've tried deleting the Drives from
the Device Mgr and it still keeps doing the same. Both drives are formatted
& partitioned and have drive letters assigned. Any help would greatly be
appreciated.
