I finally got all the problems fixed with the OS setting up this board. I
originally assembled this board with 1 stick of Mushkin pc3200 512mb blue. I
purchased a second stick of Mushkin pc3200 512mb blue, and installed it in
the second slot.

after installing the second stick, when booting the system I get 3 long
beeps, and when I check the lights on the D-bracket, light one is green,
2,3, and 4 are red. it lists as memory detection test error for this light
combination. either memory is damaged, or not installed properly. I removed
the new stick, and it boots fine. I removed the first stick I purchased,
installed the newly purchased stick, and system boots fine.

to make a long story short, I tried each stick in each of the three slots by
them selves, and each time the system boots fine, I then tried them together
in combinations using each of the three slots, and each time, no matter the
combination, system error, and no boot. I even tried clearing the cmos and
rebooting, no luck there either.

I am lost at this point, both memory sticks work by them selves, none of the
memory slots are damaged ( each tests fine with only one memory stick
installed in system ) is there something I am missing. I was careful to
purchase two memory sticks from the same manufacture, with same specs so I
wouldn't have a problem. anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

thanks in advance...

Kirk

You could check for a BIOS update from the manufacturers website.

I am having the exact same problem. Did you ever come up with an
answer? This is the only thread I have seen concerning this problem.
Thanks.
