Hi
I have asked this question before with no response, so am asking again.
On changing to 64 bit K8T Neo I found that all my programs ran ok (a lot
faster of course) with the exception of an obsolete Borland compiler Owl
5.2. This locks up the machine after about 10 seconds after I start to
compile.
By locks up I mean everything feeezes, all I can do is press the reset
button. The problem is the same with XP and Windows 2000. Have tried running
in Safe mode - same thing happens. I have 1 Gb of RAM
I have tried tinkering with BIOS settings but nothing seems to make any
difference.
I would be most obliged to hear from anyone who has a similar problem, or
indeed, runs OWL 5.2 without any problem.
Have tried to find some info on Google but nothing. Of course, the Borland
teatm that wrote this compiler have long since moved on to pastures new.
If you are wondering why I am using an obsolete compiler it is just to
support a legacy application coded with this. It is far too large to rewrite
unfortunately.
