I ran a FREE SeaTools Desktop Seagate Diagnostics test from their
website to check on my hard drive. My Word programs keep locking up, my
computer keeps crashing, I have to restart frequently, etc.

I recently replaced my motherboard, video card, power source, and
processors. The repair place said the hard drive seemed to be working
fine, but now I think otherwise. I was having these problems even
before I changed the 4 items above.

When I ran the test, the results said I had critical errors on both
partitions. Do you know how I can solve this problem?

I have Win XP. My hard drive is a Seagate ST340015A

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If a seagate tool said your disk has errors then it does. Look for
warranty coverage for your serial #. You're about to get a new disk.

I also think you need a new "repair place".

Oh, yes; back up your data.

Don't blame me. I voted for Gore.

I have tested many Seagate drives using Seatools. Seatools reports on the
"optimistic"side. Back up the data as soon as possible.

When you called Seagate with the results of your tests, what did "they" say?
