Maybe a dumb question... The current hiscore.dat is version 0.91 and
the current MAME version is 0.94. Do these two releases go hand in
hand, or is the same version number just a coincidence?

The guy who maintains the highscore.dat (Leezer) does fantastic work
and I hope he hasn't quit updating the file. There are so many great
games unsupported in his .dat still (like the new Raiden Fighters
series). Also, Black Widow high score has always been broken.

Any news about it?

Actually, funny you should mention this...its been updated to .94 :)
