I get an "Inaccessible Boot Device" error in Win 2k SP4 after
upgrading my system from an Athlon T'Bird 1.33 on an Abit KY7a to an
MSI K8N Neo2 with an Athlon 64 and 1 gig of RAM. My Linux partition
runs fine as well as pure DOS. I use System Commander 7.05 to switch
between partitions.

I have not been able to get Win2k to boot past this BSOD with the
error after installation of the Mobo. All components ran fine before
the upgrade and Win2k booted OK.

I took out all components except my floppy, main hard drive and video
and still can get past this screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe Win2k can't handle the new board, too many hardware differances.
Have you tried reinstalling Win2k ?

Does your new system include a SATA hard-drive? Use the SATA driver
bootdisk (should be included) while installing W2K when it gives you
the option to install SCSI or RAID devices. If you don't you will most
likely get an error like you did, even if W2K installed fine on that
drive. I have the same mobo and use W2K with no probs at all.
