All of a sudden, the Firefox Downloads dialog box doesn't show downloaded files. The files download properly but do no appear in the pop up dialog box as they used to. I am using Firefox 3.5 on a Windows 7 pc. This problem just started happening out of nowhere. What's happening and how do I fix it?

Do you have the Clear History When FireFox Closes box checked on that same settings page?

And if so, go to Tools > Clear Recent History > Details > Browsing and Download History.

If that is checked, that is what is clearing out your Download Dialog box.

Tools > Options > Privacy > Remember download history

Did you recently make changes to these settings or upgrade from an older version of FireFox?

If there is no check mark in the box above all downloaded files will be cleared from the Download Dialog box once completed.

I have not made any recent changes or upgrades that would cause this, and the box is checked to show downloads.

If that is checked, that is what is clearing out your Download Dialog box.
