I bought a new MS Digital Media Pro keyboard to replace my overworked
MS INternet Keyboard. I Installed IntelliType 5.2 but my Win XP Pro
does not recognize the keyboard -- it reads as "Easy Internet
Keyboard" and looks for a Logitech driver. When it doesn't find it --
since I never had a Logitech KB -- the mouse and KB freezes up.
I reboot, restart and it keeps looking for 'itchfltr.sys' in a
Logitech folder -- then freezes. I finally downloaded and installed
Logitech's iTouch software and now the keyboard works -- but of course
none of the KB function keys work. If I try to uninstall the iTouch
and reinstall the IntelliType software the aforementioned looking for
the 'itchfltr.sys' driver and freezing up occurs.
Any reason XP Pro SP2 doesn't recognize the Digital Media Pro keyboard
and why it's looking for a Logitech product?
