Windows XP Edition: Home.
Description of Issue: In either the system (C:) drive or storage (D:)
drive, whenever I attempt to cut and paste (or "drag" ) a file from one
location to another, the file deletes (as it should) from the origin, but
only the folder tranfers to the recipient location.
When checking the contents of the "dragged" file, the "file is empty" or "0
bytes" confirms that the file is gone. Only the shell (folder) remains.
So I try to delete the empty folder and for a moment it appears as though
this might happen as the pop-up shows the file "flying" to the recycle
bin............then....
Another pop-up then appears in the middle of the screen with the big red 'X'
and the message:

'ERROR DELETING FILE OR FOLDER'
"Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not
currently in use".

This does not happen when I "copy and paste" a file; only when I "cut and
paste".
Also, the disc is not full, the file isn't in use, as I have even created
new files and immediately dragged them to their deaths....
