I use the wireless intellimouse explorer on the desktop and really like it.
The desktop is going away and we are moving to a laptop. Is there another
receiver that one can buy that is the size of a jumpdrive or bluethtooth
receiver for the laptop? The receiver with it now is rather large on a 4 ft
cable. Thanks for any advice.

I do not think so. MS also provides special wireless mice for
notebooks.

Typhoon (for one) make a neat lap-top mini-mouse (optical, wheel, USB).
Costs very little, uses very little power and is very comfortable to use
(and the cable is very light and flexible). Why spend major cash on high
technology ? Plus - no set-up, it's a generic mouse with drivers already in
XP.
Just a suggestion - a simple effective solution. I hate touch-pads, this
works very well indeed.

Sincerely, Len.

Microsoft also offer laptop USB mice. They are also generic driver
compatible and also comes if two type: wired and wireless.
