Help! I'm using XP Professional on personal PC. The right click is not
working on the touchpad or connected mouse. The touchpad icon does not show
anymore in the hardware either. I can right click in most applications but
some close and is mostly system functions like create, delete etc. I've
scanned for viruses, finding 3 but none that affect right mouse. I've
reinstalled XP & touchpad mouse & still have the problem. I don't know what
to do next. Any ideas?

Hi,
Try go to the laptop manufacturer's website, download and install the latest
chipset drivers as well as the touch pad drivers (must be compatible to XP).
If you know how to update mobo BIOS, update it as well. You must be very
careful for BIOS update as an improper update of BIOS may turn your laptop to
a dead stone and the repair charges may be expensive.
You can also try to disable the touchpad and use a PS/2 or USB mouse then
check again.
