ok, the pictures in signatures are now stupidly small, could we have them a bit bigger, its not like making them a thumbnail will help loading speed cause the picture remains the same size.

limit them to a banner size or something similar just as a compromise.

If you wish, create a thread with polls, and put up a link to standard banner sizes (just search for that phrase), and see what people think. The key thing is to keep it standard.

I made another thread about this, but the one you have is too small. Since the most popular banner is the folding one it should be at least that size.

Although I don't fold, dhlucke brings up a very good point...they should be bigger, but only slightly.

ha ha mine is already 768 X 60 :D

edit:

oops meant 468

No offense, but that's way too big IMHO. I actually like the standard as it is. Maybe you should just resize your image?

I can't. :(

Someone else made it and it's generated at the server level I think to provide all the info.

If it's generated at the server level then maybe someone should change the server code, if so many people use these banners. :|

I don't know.

All I know is that I certainly wouldn't appreciate a 600 pixel wide sig image.

Steven Baldwin, aka Scuba steve.....please realize this, I am allowed to create an ungodly long TEXT sig. THere are people who are 15lines long of text and then on top of that an image.

So lets not bicker about a couple pixels. You either get a picture, or your get 8 lines of text.....not longer then 8, and certainly NOT BOTH!

I hate extra scrolling as much as everyone but my thoughts are the width doesn't add scrolling, so let them be upto like 800 or whatever, i dont care.

  Remember back in the day when I was forced to change my sig simply because the worst complaint against it was there were two spaces between each line!!!
One of the reasons I balked was because mine was not the largest, and since then the largest has engulfed mine...
BTW, all I did essentially was remove the spaces created via a bug in the sw....
