I have a Dell Axim X5 with Windows Mobile 2002 and I need
to free space. The available memory space seems to lessen
although I have deleted files. I think the databases need
to be be decompressed to save the necessary space. Is
there a way to do this without having to buy a program to
do so?

I think you meant 'compressed' there The biggest space hog on your PPC is maybe Pocket Internet
Explorer's cache, you can delete the files through PIE,
and you may also want to check these directories:
\Temp
\Windows\Temporary Internet Files
\Windows\Profiles\guest\Cookies
\Windows\Profiles\guest\Temporary Internet Files
And help Windows clean up after itself
