Hi Guys,

I'm just trying to build my first Mame machine, and I am soooo close but I'm
stuck at the last hurdle :-(

So far I have a Jamma cabinet (which works with it's original game board and
a brand new CRT)
I've installed a PC with a K6 processor, Rage Pro II AGP graphics card,
Soundblaster 16 (ISA) and connected it with a Jpac card. Then I used a
Fraggle's Boot 3.91.1f and put some ROMs on the HD.

Everything appears to have installed ok, and I work my way through the
menu's until I get the monitor configuration. I choose Standard CGA 15KHz
and as expected I lose the signal on my SVGA monitor, so at that point I
plug in the arcade CRT (through the JPAC board)

Jpac Sync light comes on and I get an image on the CRT. The image on the CRT
fills the screen, and is readable, however it always seems to have two blank
bars running through the test images.

I run through everything choosing and saving everything that seems relevant,
and reboot the computer. The MAME ARCADE boot logo appears to be split in
two (no big deal) and then Arcadeos loads up (with sound, so I did that bit
right LOL) and I see a full screen of games to choose from.

Now my first problem is the screen is mounted sideways, so the menu is
sideways. Is there any way to rotate that? X & Y flip just mirror everything
but doesn't rotate it.

And secondly, as soon as I choose a game, it starts loading, but then it's
clearly not running at the right Resolution or Frequency or something
because I just get snow. I've tried reinstalling Fraggle's CD over and over
again and then choosing various different resolutions and frequencies for a
15KHz monitor but I clearly don't have a clue what I am doing here :-(

I have the manual for the CRT and it gives me the Vclock Frequency and the
Hclock but I have no clue what the Pclock is or what it should be set as
(I've been trying 5-90)

So basically can anyone give me some pointers on setting up a CRT because I
am completely lost and apparently don't understand any of it :-(

I appreciate your time.

Slim
