Hi i just bought 694D pro
and i need to know if i have to install the drivers Promise for
windows xp!
I don't have the cd/floppy because the guy who sold me the motherboard
didn't gave em to me [i wonder what he is doing with them...]
Anyway is it important? doesn't winxp already have the right drivers??
Pentium 800 2x
2x265mb + 1x 128Mb ram
1st master 80GB ibm
2nd master 40GB maxtor
2nd slave DVD player
3rd master 160GB maxtor
4th master 160GB maxtor
All are with cables 80pin and partitioned in 2 drives each
Am i doing something wrong with this HD configuration?
i do have slow copy from a drive to another!
Recently i get error accessing a drive
something like ultra scsi error etc...
I don't have a controller scsi...

Please help!

I also have
device\scsi\ultra1 did not respond within the timeout period.

So, why don't you install the drivers - it seems, as you needed them.
And nerver forget the chipset drivers. You should find all drivers on
MSI website.

And don't worry about the messages concerning SCSI. Windows thinks,
that every harddisk-controller, that isn't part of the chipset, would
be a SCSI device;-)
