Keyboard might not be responding if you have accidentally entered some
StickyKeys setting mode
Pressing the SHIFT Key 5 times turns on the StickyKeys mode which in
some setting case might make the keyboard to behave as not responding.
To resolve it simply press the SHIFT Key 5 times and then press cancel,
now check if your keyboard is responding
It took me a while to figure that out on my young child computer after
he probably unconsciously entered that mode.
It would have been helpful if Microsoft would have provided some tip
about that possible cause on its 'non responding keyboard'
