I played around with a Microsoft Surface at a dev workshop in Houston and, I gotta say, it was pretty cool. Also, the office has a 360 with kinect and a driving chair (with throttle, brake, and steering). What a cool place to (not) work!
I will wait until the portable 80 inch tablet comes out (and it better have built in cellphone functionality).
Isn't everyone sick of tiny tablets with their 10 inch screens? 80 inches means you will be able to enjoy movies on the go without having to squint at a small screen, you will also have ample workspace for typing/ editing tweets.
for random on the go work, a touchscreen is fine but if you just want to sit back and relax and watch a movie, it is annoying, imagine trying to use photoshop or watch a movie in a home environment with smudges all over the screen, it is worst than having a few dead pixels.
if it is on th go then the environment is not very ideal so smudges are less noticeable
Well he's right that everything will be screens with build in PC and phone, etc... Eventually. I just think that it won't fly until all the big manufacturers can standardize components/ports/accessories across the board. In short we're going to have to wait for the patent wars to settle down first. Until then it's just going to be a pain in the ass for the consumer and personally I'm not falling for that one.

Some tablets have phone capabilities, I assume his does. I also assume he must use bluetooth as well, or all his calls are conference calls.

Never mind the fact that it's an 80-inch tablet.
I say its fair to assume that this tablet lacks the ability to run on a battery. Which is a shame because I would have bought one no matter how much they cost just so I can walk into Starbucks and and give a give a self assuring grin to all the ipad to let them know that I and my tablet are indeed better than them.
On sort of topic I do hope that Windows 8 tablets are competitively priced. If this can be achieved then I would bet it wouldn't take too long before they dominate the tablet market.
