If you get yourself a good LCD, it'll be great for games, and better for the eyes. I'd go for an LCD- the reasons it's better for they eyes are b/c it doesn't refresh, less glare, sharper text when in native res, and a personal thing I like is they don't seem to shoot out nearly as much excess light as CRT. If you want 15", then Eizo L365, or L375 is great, for 17", Compaq TFT7020. I recommend using teh LCD's w/ DVI port.

A higher response time you mean. This is true, but after a certain point, it won't matter. The LCD's I recomended have a response time of 25ms- certainly low enough to play a game. Hell, my friend's LCD w/ 40ms response time is great. Plus, even if you do notice it (at 25ms, you won't), you get used to it, and don't notice it.

Those monitors are bad- they're specs simply don't compare to teh ones I reccomend. When buying LCD, you have to be willing to spend some money. The Eizo L365 is very cheap- in the higher 500's I belive (in Am. Dollars).

What about the Sharp LL-t1610W. 16 Inch monitor. 1280*1024. Absolutley great for games, vids and work. I;ve got one in analogue at the moment (got to buy a DVI cable -£50 ).

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.

This new technology that LCD's are using can do a lot better than what the 16" Sharp can offer. It's got a contrast of 300:1- I'm getting an Eizo w/ 450:1 contrast. Same w/ brightness, and its response time is 40ms. That's not good for video imo.
