I have broken peace of glass and cut myself incedently with it, how do i make edge of glass it smooth using tools you can find in average home (nothing special)?

sand the edges down with a fine grit sandpaper...

make sure itsw fine and make sure you get all of the resin off that is let behind.

Hydrofluoric Acid. You don't want to be dulling the edges of the glass, you want to be sharpening your wits.

We use a belt sander to take the edge off.. fine grit sand paper, wash off with water.

People: sandpaper? No. no. no. no. To smooth rough edges, we use a torch. To polish, use a glass polishing compound.

EDIT: My father-in-law uses newsprint to polish glass.

Hi.

Little FYI:
I WORK FOR THE LARGEST GLASS COMPANY IN NORTH AMERICA!

We use sandpaper to remove the edge as does almost ever other glass company in the world.

To polish it, we use other machinery that you wouldn't find at home.
