MSI Neo2 Platinum RAM problem

I have 1 gig of OZC high performance RAM (PC3200) (with ultra sweet copper
heatsiks) but I can't get them to run at 400Mhz.

I know I am doing something wrong with green/purple DIMM slots. I either
get 333 Mhz or 200 Mhz.

Other than this SNAFU the board is working great.

Whats up?

Maybe this.. Always insert the memory modules into the GREEN slots first,
and it is strongly recommended not to insert the memory modules into the
PURPLE slots while the GREEN slots are left empty.

See my reply to xyz.

What size are the dimms? If it's 2 x 512, then stick them in the
first two slots (Green and Purple). If it's 4 x 256 then you won't
get DDR400 if the memory is double-sided.

When I put them in DIMM 1 and 3 (Green and Green) I get 333Mhz. If I put
them in the first green and purple (Dimm 1 and 2) I get 200 Mhz.

400 DDR = 200 Mhz. You're OK

The boot display shows both numbers. When you had them Green/Green,
it was probably reading DDR333/166Mhz.

The memory market's jargon has become as confusing as AMD's model
numbering. PC3200 = 400 DDR = 200 Mhz. Jesus.

They go in the first two slots. Green and Purple.
