We have a Minolta Magicolor 2200 printer connected to our server that is
running Win2000, and is shared with all network terminals, some XP and some
Win98. We have a VB6 application running on the terminals, which checks
whether the printer is connected, and automatically switches to it if it is
present. The user has the option of choosing double-sided printing, and if
chosen, code in the VB6 application sets the printer to duplex mode, and
prints double-sided for that printout only, then switches back. I got the
code from the internet somewhere, I don't remember where, but my problem is
that most of the terminals work correctly, but one XP Pro terminal refuses
to print double-sided, although the code that is supposed to switch to
double-sided reports no errors. All driver settings appear to be identical
between the XP machines, all terminals are running the same application
code, and if you print from Word, and set duplex printing in properties, it
works correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
