Hi,
Just upgraded to v3.4. Besides the change they noted on K8 step E
processor support, looks like they got rid of the user-adjustable fan
speed! It was tuned perfectly before; with 3.4 the voltage levels are
wrong, running too fast and cooling less effectively.
Has anyone noticed other differences?
Does anyone have the install file for v3.3b? MSI took it off their web
site.

Yes, the main difference is now Venice (E stepping) processors work
with Cool-n-Quiet; before not. As noted, they took away some
adjustments with the fans. Now it is take it or leave it as they have
set it, at least for now. And while Cool-n-Quiet now works for
processor speed & voltage reduction with Venice E processors, it does
not control the fans as it does on some boards or other chip combos --
leaving the wimpy bios settings only (Cool but not very Quiet!).
There is no bios option now to have one or any of the fans turn off
with very low temps, etc. Some boards I have played around with need
the bios fan settings turned off for Cool n Quiet to control the
fan(s) or vice versa; neither works on this board/bios rev. with
Venice. Hopefully MSI will remedy this in a future bios release or .
.. .

I realoaded Bios 3.3 after using 3.4 for a week. It didnt add anything to my
system, and it actually ran hotter then before.
