I emailed Lexmark tech support with this question. They replied with
step-by-step instructions on how to install a printer.
I replied with the following:

They gave me an 800 number to speak to a technician, but I'm getting
nowhere with this. Does anybody know how to get rid of this service?
I've thought about going to a restore point from before I installed
the driver, but have made other changes and installed software that
would be a PIA to have to go back thru again.

Have a look at <http://www.helpscreen.com.au/index.php?msgid=275320197&cid=6>,
seems to address this. (Found by Google for "LexBce Server" )

Doh! Dunno how I missed that one! First URL for the search -I- had
done, too!
